Megan & Wayne
I wanted to post a series of images I took of Megan and Wayne recently, they are getting married this weekend in Megan’s hometown of Chino Hills. Their love is adorable! Both are avid horse lovers and have made it their profession. Megan rides competitively and Wayne has been a jockey and now they both train horses together. Wayne also has been involved in a new mini series. Look for Wayne in the upcoming HBO series called LUCK featuring Nick Nolte and Dustin Hoffman.

A week and a half ago, Cheri De Haro Photography, had the opportunity to photograph at the private Flintridge Riding Club in the traditional destination city of La Canada. It was such a pleasure to meet the Woodford family and to get to spend some time with them. Brent, Tara and their children. Hayley who was just home for spring break from college and her little brothers, Evan and Mason. The kids were such a blessing to me and helping out at points during our shoot as my assistants. I was waiting for their adorable family dog Belle to be part of our afternoon session. Thank you all for your patience : ) Here are just a few of my favorites from our afternoon together.

Cheri De Haro Photography recently had a destination photography shoot in the adorable city of Sierra Madre, Ca. Nestled in the San Gabriel mountains just north of Los Angeles, home to Marshmallow Couture dress designs by Dory. Our models were very talented Veronique Van Pelt of SolSpeak and makeup artist Britney Moya. Marshmallow Couture’s dresses are the BEST kept secret of Los Angeles. Marshmallow Couture was just featured in the swag room of the Oscars 2011. Congratulations to Marshmallow Couture wedding dress designs. Can’t wait to see your designs EXPLODE on the scene. Also adding to our day was Veka Estrada and Maria of 1st Ave Salon in Arcadia. Great job on the hair ladies.
Still updating, I have been working on my new WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY website. In the busyness of life, I am simplifying. That meant just a few buttons on my site. Dominic Balli at VISION - Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa
Brian, Ez and I headed down to CCCM tonight for and evening of worship with Scott Cunningham and Dominic Balli. Completely a blessing to be there and hear testimony of GOD’S power and everlasting LOVE, His long suffering and mercy AND grace. Jesus has been my saviour now for almost 18 years. Hearing the Word and what He is doing in others lives NEVER gets old. I sat there and listened and just thought…WOW….how did I get to become a part of THIS. More than 50+ people (yes, I actually counted with a smile!) came forward to make a profession of faith, to claim Jesus as LORD. I am in AWE again of my AWESOME GOD! He IS our soon and coming Malkeinu!!!!!
So, we got to worship to some really cool tunes tonight…..here are a few photos too!

Married on July 10th, 2010
Muckenthaller Mansion - Fullerton, CA
Alfred and Jeanette have known each other and been sweethearts a long time, since Jr. High?!!!! Well, they finally got married a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful, hot (but not too hot!) and humid summer day in July! July 10th, 2010. The historic Muckenthaller Mansion and Cultural Center was the sight of Al and Jeanette’s vows of love and celebration! The day was lovely. At “The Muck”, the employees were so friendly and accommodating, the food was amazing and the grounds photograph beautifully.
I had a team for this wedding, my hubby Brian manned the video and assisted me and architect and photographer Geoff Captain joined us as 2nd shooter and did an amazing job capturing the other 1/2 of what I was shooting, which makeup our summary of the day. I love the images of Al & Jeanette. Take a peek and let me know what you think : )
Can you say AMAZING mama and her GUYS!!!! OK, so Cristina Stewart and her man Alan ventured out with their 3 sons to shoot a family session last week with me….YEP…even thou the Laker game was starting!!!!! Which game? I don’t know, but close to the end of the series! Things were getting exciting with basketball, Alan and the boys were so patient! Thanks guys! Here are just a couple images from our 1 location in Rancho Cucamonga. My FAVORITE image is the one of Cristina and Alan, because, the boys were looking at the images with me after I took them and they would tell me what changes to make to their parents (it was really fun to get the boys involved : )
This last weekend we had the chance to see and listen to reggae artist Dominic Balli. We have been enjoying his cd we downloaded from iTunes recently and I haven’t been able to stop listening…..but to hear them LIVE was completely a totally, heightening experience at the beachside Summerfest in Huntington Beach.
I thought I had only 2 favorite songs, but uuuhhh now….I have 8 favorites! I also thought I would take a few photographs (LOL!) after I filled my 8 MB card….I then proceeded to hand my hubby the camera and took our Ez down to the front to DANCE ; ) What fun we had…. and…YES it was SO LOUD! WOW …was it LOUD! What a better way to hear the TRUTH of the WORD sung out LOUD! To hear “All we need is Love”, “Drink for Free”…hey, everyone who is thirsty - come ye to the water!!!!! Gotta love J. Vernon McGee. I love the melodies. REBEL MOVEMENT an early favorite with its words about revolution, society, philosophy, conformity, but they won’t conform me…solution…move the rebel movement! Ok, so my new favorites, Remedy, Arise, Zion Mourns, Warrior, Conquering Lion, and Rise Up. Oh by the way, after dancing so close, just had to run up and put a new card into my camera and squeeze my way back to the front and photographed away. I felt like a teenager again ; ) and fulfilled hearing a message of HOPE from Pastor Mike Harris from Calvary Chapel Beachside.

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY - Relay for Life

I was asked this year by friend Charlene Metcalf to photograph and join the cancer survivors for their 3rd annual “Survivor’s Breakfast” in Downey, California. They celebrated with the theme of “Today is Your Birthday!”
The morning was packed with fun, entertainment and a WONDERFUL, TASTY breakfast AND of course Birthday cake!!!!!
Smile Lounge Touchscreen (owned by Lisa Oler 310-502-5078) was a hit with all the participants. It gave them 4 immediate prints to put into an album and take home as mementos with them. Fun and fellowship, singing and laughter, prayer and tears filled a few hours before the actual race began. Under the arch at the beginning of the celebration, white doves were released from a basket that gave a surprise and maybe even as a sign of hope and celebration.
I think we all have been affected by the loss of loved ones to cancer. Both of my grandmothers died of cancer and recently a friend. My husband’s mother also died of cancer. I was honored to be asked to photograph the breakfast this year and participate and remember those that were close to us.
Give thanks to the GOD of heaven. his faithful love endures forever.
